The ground floor of the House by the Sea is provided with a small Bar be the Sea, realized fully in white stone, where guests can relax between dips into the sea, cool off during the day and enjoy a true Italian espresso at sunset.
PRIVATE BEACH
The whole coast around Pisak is dotted with small beaches that can be easily reached either on foot or by boats rented by House by the Sea and from local fishermen. All beaches offer beautiful natural scenery, great privacy, quiet and some of them are completely solitary places, even in high season.
NIGHTLIFE
Pisak is a place where silence and utter relaxation is the rule… but it is only a few miles distant from the bustling nightlife of the coastline. Those who want to enjoy a relaxing holiday, without missing eventful Croatian nightlife can find many interesting destinations just a few miles from Pisak: both Split and Makarska Riviera (Brela, Baska Voda and Makarska) offer rich choice of evening entertainment with clubs, pubs, lounge beaches, outdoor concerts and restaurants open till late at night. Thus returning to the House by the Sea you can appreciate even more the sound of silence broken only by the sea waves lapping the Pisak shore.
RENT A BOAT
It is possible to rent daily trips on boats or rubber dinghies with small motors (those under 3,4 hp can be driven without a license). More demanding guests can rent sophisticated aqua scooters Yamaha allowing you to reach quickly and easily every beach along the shore.
RAFTING ON RIVER CETINA
The river Cetina flows into the sea near Pisak in the town of Omis. It is possible to organize rafting of varying difficulty with qualified instructors, following the river flow all the way down to its outlet into the sea, to get a unique experience of its kind.
RENT A YACHT
Those who want to go for an exclusive experience in the company of their friends can rent (with a professional Skipper) a Beneteau Swift Trawler 44 Yacht with 14-m Fly Bridge (powered by two Yanmar engines of 370 hp each), which can comfortably accommodate up to 14 people. BAYISLAND PARADISE OF BRAC
A real pearl of the Adriatic Sea with mild climate, lush vegetation and stunning bays. The island of Brac is located just 4 nautical miles from the Residence which means 10-minute jet-boat ride or 20 minute normal boat ride with daily excursions schedule. Thus you can visit the village of Povije and swim in the neighbouring Paradise Bay, which is considered one of the 10 best natural moorings of Croatia. The Paradise Bay has a restaurant accessible only from the sea where organic products are served on a lovely pebble beach, offering the possibility to dock in the harbour to enjoy unforgettable nights in a boat under a starry sky from which you can see clearly the way milky. With half an hour of extra sailing you can reach the famous village of Bol, known for its beautiful old town and the Caribbean style beach which changes shape depending on the time of a day.
MEDJUGORIJE
An hour’s drive from Pisak is the popular resort of Medjugorije, with its holy shrine visited by pilgrims from all over the world. Madjugorije is an excellent destination for one-day religious and cultural tourism.
BUDVA
For those who have more time available, the House by the Sea can arrange tours and accommodation in exclusive suites also in Budva, the tourist capital of Montenegro, a two-hour drive south of Dubrovnik. This city of Greek and Roman origins, after the division of the Roman Empire, found itself exactly in the middle between the two empires of the East and the West. It is actually split between sea and land, being situated on a small island connected to the mainland by a strip of sand.
SPLIT
Split is known for having one of the most interesting historical centres of Croatia, which revolves around the Palace of Diocletian, the Roman emperor who built this incredible home when he decided to abandon Rome and to retire in what he considered one of the most beautiful places on earth. Dedicating a day to visit the historic centre of Split and Diocletian’s palace is a must for all those who want to truly enjoy all the beauties of the region.
DUBROVNIK
Dubrovnik is one of the most ancient, beautiful and romantic cities of all Mediterranean. The glimpses of beauty reminiscent of Venice are immersed in the scents of the Mediterranean shrubbs. The richness of the numerous historical monuments and famous places of worship such as the Cathedral of San Biagio, deserve a visit along with its specimens of ancient Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance architecture. The guests of the House by the Sea can enjoy and exclusive possibility to stay overnight in suites in a beautifully restored palace in the old town of Dubrovnik. The residence is located right in front of one of the two direct descents to the sea only 20 meters from the famous Stradun, the main street of the old town of Dubrovnik, which once was an autonomous city-state.
MOSTAR
The city of Mostar, the capital of Herzegovina with its oriental architecture, is just an hour drive by car from Pisak. It is a very interesting destination for sightseeing and day excursions. Just in two more hours by car you can reach intriguing Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
VRUJE NATURE RESERVE
Just a half nautical mile from Pisak is located the Vruje Bay nature reserve, with its famous fresh water spring flowing directly from the sea. Vruje has a long white beach and a restaurant right on the beach accessible only from the sea, where you can enjoy moments of complete privacy and exclusiveness.
